Abu Dhabi-based Etihad Airways has announced that it will commence flights to Vienna, Austria in July. The route announcement comes as travel restrictions remain in place in both directions.
After 15 long months of struggle through the COVID-19 pandemic, airlines around the world are looking to rebuild their network, especially with flights to leisure destinations.
Going with the same strategy, Etihad Airways is launching twice-weekly flights to Vienna in Austria on 18th July 2021. The outbound service to Vienna will be nonstop. However, the inbound service from the Austrian capital will not be nonstop but a ‘direct flight’ with a stop in Milan, Italy. After that the aircraft will proceed towards its home. It is not possible to fly from Abu Dhabi or Vienna to Milan on this service. For those seeking to fly to Milan, another direct flight is in operation.
