Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), which manages Taj Hotels, SeleQtions, Vivanta and Ginger Hotels and is South Asia’s largest hospitality company, has today announced the signing of a Vivanta hotel in Ahmedabad.
This is a management contract for an existing hotel in the city, which would be undergoing extensive renovations before being flagged as Vivanta.
Vivanta, Ahmedabad will consist of 176 guest rooms and suites and will be strategically located on SG Highway, a comfortable driving distance from Gandhinagar, the state capital as well as important business complexes. Dining options will include Mynt – the all-day dining restaurant, Swirl – lobby café and a speciality restaurant. Facilities will include a swimming pool, a fitness centre, a spa, meeting rooms and a banquet hall for social and business gatherings. It is a Brownfield project slated to open in 2022 after completion of its planned renovations.

Ahmedabad is the largest state in the West Indian state of Gujarat and is situated on the banks of the Sabarmati. The city has been declared as India’s first UNESCO World Heritage City and is the important commercial centre.
With the addition of this hotel, IHCL will have five hotels – Taj Skyline, Ginger Vastrapur, Ginger SG Road, Ginger Satellite and the upcoming Vivanta SG Road in Ahmedabad.
IHCL recently signed a Vivanta hotel at Bengaluru Airport and opened Vivanta Thiruvananthapuram.
