Frontier Airlines announces 20 new routes including 5 new destinations

United Kingdom scraps quarantine for vaccinated Europeans and Americans

The government of United Kingdom has announced that it will scrap its quarantine requirement for vaccinated travellers from the United States and the European Union (EU). Previously, only vaccines that had been given in the United Kingdom were recognized for inbound travel. The news comes after the government’s announcement earlier this month that fully vaccinated UK travellers returning to England from ‘amber list’ countries would no longer have to quarantine.

Indigo to launch flights to Bareilly from Mumbai and Bengaluru

IH Aviation and Travel had in March reported that Indigo will start flights to Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh soon. Flights were set to launch on 29th April 2021. But like other airlines, Indigo had to pull back capacity and trim flight schedules due to the brutal second wave of COVID-19. As a result, the airline did not go ahead with its plans to launch flights to Bareilly. However, now as we are slowing emerging back from the second wave, things are improving. Indigo has today once again announced that it is launching flights to Bareilly from two Indian metro cities.

Indigo returns to Jabalpur with flights to four cities

When the summer schedule started in March 2021, we had a surprise – Indigo had dropped Jabalpur from its route network. Until then, the airline had an impeccable record of not abandoning a station after it started till the extent that when it curtailed flights to Singapore from Delhi and Mumbai, it launched them from Chennai and kept Singapore active. Indigo’s drop also seemed like a victory for SpiceJet since there has rarely been a case where Spicejet has been able to hold its fort after IndiGo joined in. However, Indigo is returning to Jabalpur stronger than ever.
