Marriott’s Moxy Hotels to debut in Sydney

American hospitality giant Marriott International has signed an agreement with RF Corval and KS Hotels and Resorts to debut its Moxy brand in Sydney.

Moxy Sydney Airport hotel will be located on a major thoroughfare into both the Sydney domestic and international terminals. The property will be only 8 kilometres away from Sydney CBD.

Scheduled to open in 2023, the hotel will consist of 301 guest rooms, the Moxy Bar, a café with an industrial vibe, and all-day access to a food menu.

The scale of this project and its prominent location at the entrance to Sydney Airport is set to position the hotel as an icon for the Moxy brand in the Asia Pacific. We are thrilled to sign the agreement with this ownership group who together, have the dynamism to deliver what will be a world-class example of our next-gen focused Moxy brand.

The debut of Moxy brand in one of Australia’s strongest markets will add to Marriott International’s existing Sydney portfolio, which includes Marriott Hotels, Sheraton, Autograph Collection, Courtyard by Marriott and Four Points by Sheraton.

Presently, Marriott International operates 24 hotels in Australia, with more set to open in 2021, including Melbourne Marriott Hotel Docklands and The Tasman, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Hobart.

Meanwhile, Marriott recently announced the opening of Fairfield by Marriott South Binh Duong (Fairfield’s debut in Vietnam); Aloft Osaka Dojima (Marriott’s 70th hotel in Japan); Matild Palace, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Budapest; The Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Islands; The Ritz-Carlton, Turks and Caicos; The St. Regis, Bermuda; The St. Regis Dubai, The Palm; Moxy, Bordeaux; Moxy, Bergen and Renaissance Bordeaux.
