Air India has announced nonstop flights between Indore and Dubai, marking the first nonstop international flight from the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh.
Starting 1st September 2021, Air India will operate once-weekly flights between Indore’s Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar Airport and Dubai International Airport. This flight will be a continuation of the Bengaluru-Indore flight, meaning that Air India will operate a one-stop flight between Bengaluru and Dubai with a stop in Indore.
The schedule of Bengaluru-Indore-Dubai-Indore-Bengaluru route is:

- Flight time: 1 hour and 50 minutes

Air India will operate these flights with a Airbus A320neo featuring 13 Business Class seats and 159 Economy Class seats.
Jyotiraditya Scindia, Minister of Civil Aviation of India tweeted:
This will not be the first time that the Indian flag carrier will operate flights between Indore and Dubai. In the past, it has operated the flights. However, due to COVID-19 pandemic, it suspended those flights.
Ever since the appointment of Jyotiraditya Scindia as India’s Minister of Civil Aviation, Madhya Pradesh has been getting a lot of new flights (he hails from Madhya Pradesh). SpiceJet has launched multiple new flights out of Gwalior while Indigo has relaunched flights from Jabalpur after a brief pause and has announced flights to Gwalior.
Meanwhile, Air India recently announced brand-new route between Mumbai and Malé, Maldives with flights starting on 28th July 2021. The news comes after Maldives started welcoming travellers from India once again. The airline has also launched flights between Bengaluru and Patna.
