Now Open: Courtyard by Marriott Mahabaleshwar

Marriott’s newest hotel in India, Courtyard by Marriott Mahabaleshwar, is officially open. This is Marriott’s second hotel in the hill station after Le Méridien Mahabaleshwar, which also features in my Top 10 list of 5 star hotels and resort in Maharashtra.

Courtyard by Marriott Mahabaleshwar is located on Panchgani-Mahabaleshwar Road. The resort is situated at a distance of 118 kilometres from Pune International Airport while Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport is 261 kilometres away. The resort offers a paid shuttle service from/to Pune International Airport. Mahabaleshwar is known as “the Strawberry Capital of India” and guests staying at the hotel have easy access to an array of unique experiences including strawberry picking at various pluck parks and scenic picnic spot close to the Lingmala falls.

Courtyard by Marriott Mahabaleshwar features 95 guest rooms and villas. All of the rooms at the resort offer spectacular mountain views and a private balcony. 1 Bedroom Villas even feature a plunge pool.

Berry Library is the resort’s all day-dining restaurant having interactive buffets and thoughtfully curated a la carte menus. The restaurant has both indoor and alfresco settings providing the views of the lush green valley. Quarter Deck – Bar & Grill, the hotel’s outdoor pool bar, is set high above the Venna river with magnificent view of the valley. Here, fusion food and handcrafted cocktails are offered. Guests can savour quick bites, canapés and pastries at roof top open air, casual coffee house ‘Cloud Cafe’. Sigri, the Indian fine dining restaurant is an ode to the decadent royalty and richness of the cuisines of the Nawabs. Savor delicacies prepared the traditional way, slow cooked over smoldering wood fires, bringing alive in all its authenticity, the rich, aromatic flavors of Imperial India.

Facilities at the resort include a fitness centre featuring cardiovascular equipment and free weight and PLAY, a dedicated space for kids. There’s also an infinity swimming pool present at the hotel featuring incredible mountain views along with a children’s pool and jacuzzi. Jogging/fitness trail, a badminton court, carrom board, foosball and table tennis are also available at the hotel.

Courtyard by Marriott Mahabaleshwar has 4 event rooms totalling 78,996 square feet of space. The largest events space has a capacity to hold 1000 people.
