Spirit Airlines announces the addition of Rochester to its network

Ultra low cost carrier Spirit Airlines has announced the addition of Rochester in New York to its network.

Starting 24th June 2022, Spirit Airlines will operate daily flight to Orlando International Airport and 4-flights-a-week to Myrtle Beach International Airport from Frederick Douglass Greater Rochester International Airport.

The flights on Orlando-Rochester-Orlando route will run with the following schedule:

  • Orlando-Rochester
  • Departure time: 08:00
  • Arrival time: 10:44
  • Flight time: 2 hours and 44 minutes
  • Flight number: NK3012
  • Frequency: Daily
  • Rochester-Orlando
  • Departure time: 11:30
  • Arrival time: 14:13
  • Flight time: 2 hours and 43 minutes
  • Flight number: NK2025
  • Frequency: Daily

The flights on Myrtle Beach-Rochester-Myrtle Beach route will run with the following schedule:

  • Myrtle Beach-Rochester
  • Departure time: 11:10
  • Arrival time: 13:10
  • Flight time: 2 hours
  • Flight number: NK2022
  • Frequency: Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays
  • Rochester-Myrtle Beach
  • Departure time: 13:55
  • Arrival time: 15:55
  • Flight time: 2 hours
  • Flight number: NK2026
  • Frequency: Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays

These flights will be operated by Spirit’s Airbus A319 featuring 10 Big Seats (similar to Business Class seats) and 135 standard Economy Class seats.

Spirit’s service to Orlando will be the only daily, nonstop service to Rochester’s number one travel destination. The carrier will also be offering the only nonstop service to Myrtle Beach, another top destination for Rochester residents looking to enjoy 60 miles of beautiful coastline and more than 100 courses offered at The Golf Capital of the World.

Meanwhile, Spirit Airlines recently announced plans to merge with Frontier Airlines to create the biggest ULCC in the United States.
