American hospitality company Hyatt has announced that it will debut two of its brands – Hyatt Centric and Hyatt Place – in the Indian state of Uttarakhand.
During the summer of 2023, Hyatt will open two new properties in Uttarakhand – Hyatt Centric Dehradun and Hyatt Place Haridwar.
Hyatt Centric Dehradun will be a conversion development, meaning that an existing property will undergo renovation and rebranded as a Hyatt Centric. The existing property featured 56 guest rooms. Hyatt will add another 70 guest rooms, a banquet hall as well as new Food & Beverage outlets in the rebranding process.
Hyatt Centric Dehradun will join Hyatt Regency Dehradun which opened in April 2022, marking the debut of Hyatt in the state.

Hyatt Place Haridwar is a greenfield project which will feature 111 guest rooms and suites. The hotel is expected to be ready by April 2023.
