Qatar Airways to re-launch nonstop Doha-Auckland flights

Qatar Airways has announced that it will re-launch nonstop flights between Doha and Auckland later this year.

Nonstop to Auckland

Qatar Airways used to operate a nonstop service to Auckland, New Zealand prior to the COVID-19 pandemic. After that, the airline resumed flying to the biggest city of New Zealand with a stop in Adelaide, Australia.

However, as of 1st September 2023, Qatar Airways will operate a daily nonstop flight between Doha’s Hamad International Airport and Auckland International Airport, eliminating the stop in Adelaide. The flights will operate with the following schedule:

• Doha-Auckland
• Departure time: 01:50
• Arrival time: 02:45 (the next day)
• Flight time: 15 hours and 55 minutes
• Flight number: QR920
• Frequency: Daily

• Auckland-Doha
• Departure time: 15:00
• Arrival time: 23:15
• Flight time: 17 hours and 15 minutes
• Flight number: QR921
• Frequency: Daily

These flights will be operated by Airbus A350-1000 aircraft featuring 46 Business Class seats (QSuites) and 281 standard Economy Class seats.

The direct Doha to Auckland service augments a number of new routes announced in recent weeks and enables passengers in key European markets including the UK and Ireland to save time with this direct connection. Business Class passengers on board our Auckland flights can also enjoy the enhanced privacy of Qsuite, which has been awarded the Best Business Class Seat in the World.

Those who are already booked on flights to Auckland via Adelaide will be re-accommodated on the nonstop flights, according to Qatar Airways.

From 24th September 2023, due to daylight saving time changes in Auckland, both QR920 and QR921 will arrive and depart one hour later, respectively.
