Vistara will now fly B787s to Bali

Vistara has announced that it will deploy Boeing B787 Dreamliners on flights to Bali, Indonesia. This comes after just four months of operation on the route. The airline says that it has been encouraged to take this decision by seeing strong demand for this route and anticipated increase in demand during the summer months.

  • Arrival time: 08:40 (the next day)
  • Flight time: 7 hours and 30 minutes
  • Flight number: UK145

  • Bali-Delhi
  • Departure time: 10:35
  • Arrival time: 15:35
  • Flight time: 7 hours and 30 minutes
  • Flight number: UK146

We are delighted to announce the deployment of our state-of-the-art Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner for flights between Delhi and Bali. This strategic decision to increase capacity underscores Vistara’s commitment to optimizing operations in response to the remarkable performance of the Delhi – Bali route and the constant surge in demand for direct connectivity between India and Indonesia. With top-notch amenities, enhanced comfort complemented with sumptuous inflight meals and exceptional service, we are confident that our customers will appreciate the choice of experiencing Vistara’s Dreamliner when flying on this route.

Vistara’s B787-9s feature 30 lie-flat Business Class seats in a 1-2-1 configuration, 21 Premium Economy seats and 248 standard Economy Class seats. The Delhi-based airline’s A321LR, which is currently used for Bali flights, features 188 seats. The deployment of B787-9 means an increase of 37.12% seats on each flight.

The question that now remains to be answered is where will the A321LR that is no longer flying to Bali be deployed? Perhaps a new route to Hong Kong? Or augmenting capacity on an existing route? It remains to be seen.
