IHCL has announced the opening of Gateway Bekal, the first property under the company’s newest brand. Let’s go over the details.
Location and Accommodations
Gateway Bekal is located in Kasaragod area in Kerala. Mangalore International Airport is 74 kilometers away from the property while Kasaragod Railway Station is 14 kilometers away from the resort.
The interiors of the hotel are a mix of traditional Kerala style and modern design. The resort features 151 guest rooms, cottages, suites and villas. All of them feature either garden or river views.

A riverside retreat nestled amidst the serene backwaters of Kerala, Gateway Bekal serves as a unique canvas, showcasing the destination’s character through art, design, and cultural nuances. Experiential touchpoints like the unique hi-tea cart in the hotel lobbies highlights local food culture and serves as a window to the destination.

Dining and Facilities
Earth Pavilion is the resort’s all-day dining restaurant serving global and Malabar cuisine, along with pan-Indian and international favourites. High Tide is the resort’s bar featuring a vibrant atmosphere for unwinding with signature cocktails.
Facilities at the hotel include a swimming pool with a bar in addition to a children’s pool and jacuzzi, a gym and a spa offering traditional Ayurvedic treatments, sauna and steam. The hotel features versatile banqueting spaces, including a sundial amphitheatre, a grand ballroom, and a banquet hall along with two meeting rooms.
Guests can indulge in birdwatching, local art and dance workshops, and houseboat rides and the 1.5 kilometres jogging track by the riverside.
