Air India has revealed a range of initiatives it will undertake on 12th November 2024 when Vistara merges with Air India. Read on to know more in case you are flying with them soon.
Air India-Vistara merger
All flights under the merged entity will be operated by Air India on and after 12th November 2024. After the merger, the same Vistara experience will continue until at least March 2025. The routes and schedule operated by Vistara will also continue to be the same. The Vistara aircraft that will be operated by Air India will be identified by a special four-digit Air India code beginning with the digit “2”. For instance, UK 955 will become AI 2955.
At metro city airports, before the terminal entry, helpdesk kiosks will be deployed at the curb side. Customer support staff wearing “Air India x Vistara” branded t-shirts will be around if passengers have any queries. The airline says that it is also closely working with airport security personnel to guide passengers with old Vistara tickets to the nearest help desk or to Air India customer support staff. Flight Information Display Screens (FIDS) and standees will be placed at the airport to aid passengers to locate the Air India check-in counters. Progressively, Vistara airport ticketing offices and Vistara check-in terminals will become Air India.
