The TransTasman travel bubble between Australia and New Zealand is ending tonight. The travel corridor, set up in mid-April, allowed Australians and New Zealanders to travel quarantine-free between the two countries. However, following the fresh waves of COVID-19 in Australia, New Zealand pulled the plug on Friday for at least the next eight weeks.
Travel Bubbles are always a great concept in theory but they can be a hit or miss. With the help of a travel bubble, people can travel quarantine-free between two areas that are ‘low-risk’ for COVID-19. However, travel bubble between Singapore and HongKong is a different story altogether.
The quarantine-free travel bubble between the two cities is set to open from 26th May 2021.
New Zealand created its first travel bubble with the Cook Islands wherein people can travel between the two countries without quarantining.
According to Thailand’s tourism minister, the country will stay closed to tourists until at least March next year.

India has extended the ban on international flights till 31st December,2020.
