Air Canada to start flights on Montréal-Amsterdam route

Air Canada has announced the addition of new summer seasonal flights between Montréal and Amsterdam. Flights begin in June 2023.

Starting 2nd June 2023 and running through 14th October 2023, Air Canada will operate 5-flights-a-week between Montréal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport and Amsterdam Schiphol Airport with the following schedule:

  • Montréal-Amsterdam
  • Departure time: 22:10
  • Arrival time: 11:00 (the next day)
  • Flight time: 6 hours and 50 minutes
  • Flight number: AC900
  • Frequency: Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays
  • Amsterdam-Montréal
  • Departure time: 14:00
  • Arrival time: 15:30
  • Flight time: 7 hours and 30 minutes
  • Flight number: AC901
  • Frequency: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays
  • Note: This flight starts 3rd June 2023 and run through 15th October 2023

Flights will be operated by Boeing B787-8 Dreamliner aircraft featuring 20 lie-flat Business Class seats, 21 Premium Economy Class seats and 214 standard Economy Class seats.

Competition on the Montréal-Amsterdam is not very much, with KLM being the only other airline serving the market. The Dutch carrier also operates 5-flights-a-week between the two cities using Airbus A330s.

Meanwhile, Air Canada and United recently announced that they will offer more than 260 transborder flights daily between the United States and Canada this summer.
