We are always looking to add new routes and we are excited to be welcoming airBaltic to Edinburgh Airport and connecting the capital cities of Scotland and Latvia. We know people are eager to travel when conditions allow and we want to be able to offer some excitement through new destinations, and Riga is definitely one for people to check out and experience one of the finest cities in the Baltics.
The only competitor for airBaltic on this route will be RyanAir when it starts twice-weekly (increasing to 4-times-a-week in June) flights between the two cities.

Tenerife is the largest and most popular destination in the Canary Islands and will be an excellent addition to our improved route map, offering another sunny, safe getaway for travellers from the Baltics. It will be one of the longest flights on our route map. We are looking forward to the upcoming summer season and we believe that the epidemiological situation will improve as the vaccination levels increase.”
airBaltic expanding rapidly
airBaltic recently announced flights to Greece, Italy, Germany and UAE. It is expanding in Europe and the Middle East very rapidly. And this is not all. According to the airline’s CEO, it is planning to add more routes in anticipation of surge in demand for Summer 2021.
