Indigo launches flights between Hyderabad and Srinagar

India’s largest airline Indigo has launched nonstop flights between Hyderabad and Srinagar for the first time.

Srinagar connection

Indigo will operate 4-weekly flights between Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport and Srinagar’s Sheikh Ul Alam International Airport. The flights will be operated with the following schedule:

  • Hyderabad-Srinagar
  • Departure time: 06:15
  • Arriving time: 09:15
  • Flight time: 3 hours
  • Flight number: 6E6405
  • Frequency: Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays
  • Srinagar-Hyderabad
  • Departure time: 09:45
  • Arriving time: 12:45
  • Flight time: 3 hours
  • Flight number: 6E6406
  • Frequency: Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays

Flights will be operated by the airline’s Airbus A320 family aircraft. With the addition of Hyderabad-Srinagar route, Indigo now serves Srinagar from Delhi, Mumbai, Amritsar, Chandigarh, Jammu, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru and Hyderabad.

Monopoly

Indigo is the only airline flying between Hyderabad and Srinagar nonstop. This means that the airline for now enjoys a monopoly on the route.

Meanwhile, Indigo recently launched flights from Darbhanga, Bihar. The airline will operate daily flights to Hyderabad and Kolkata from the city. The airline has also announced a new route between Lucknow and Doha and is offering 10% discount to vaccinated passengers.
