Marriott International has signed an agreement with International Himalaya Hospitality and Hotel Pvt Ltd to debut its Moxy brand in Nepal.
Moxy Kathmandu will be located in the Kamaladi area, within close proximity to the Tribhuvan International Airport. Some nearby popular tourist places include Narayanhiti Palace, the Swayambhunath Stupa and the Pashupatinath Temple.
The hotel will consist of 108 guestrooms and suites, Moxy Bar, an all-day dining outlet Moxy Kitchen and Pick-ups and the Rooftop Bar. Facilities will include an outdoor swimming pool and a fully equipped fitness centre.

International Himalaya Hospitality and Hotel Pvt Ltd is a subsidiary of the Kathmandu headquartered M S Group. Moxy Kathmandu, Nepal will be the company’s third hotel with Marriott International in addition to Fairfield by Marriott Kathmandu that opened in 2017 and the Kathmandu Marriott Hotel that opened in 2019.
Meanwhile, Marriott recently announced the opening of Fairfield by Marriott South Binh Duong (Fairfield’s debut in Vietnam); Aloft Osaka Dojima (Marriott’s 70th hotel in Japan); Matild Palace, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Budapest; The Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Islands; The Ritz-Carlton, Turks and Caicos; The St. Regis, Bermuda; The St. Regis Dubai, The Palm; Moxy, Bordeaux; Moxy, Bergen and Renaissance Bordeaux. The American hospitality chain has also announced plans to bring its Moxy brand to Sydney, Australia.
