Flybig announces flights to Tezu, Arunachal Pradesh

Indian regional carrier Flybig has announced that it will launch first-ever flight services out of Tezu, Arunachal Pradesh. From next week, the airline will connect Tezu to Guwahati, Assam.

Starting 19th August 2021, Flybig will operate 4-weekly services between Tezu Airport and Guwahati’s Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport under the Indian government’s Regional Connectivity Scheme-UDAN. The flight schedule is as follows:

  • Guwahati-Tezu
  • Departure time: 07:05
  • Arrival time: 08:25
  • Flight time: 1 hour and 20 minutes
  • Flight number: S9201
  • Frequency: Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays
  • Guwahati-Tezu
  • Departure time: 08:45
  • Arrival time: 10:05
  • Flight time: 1 hour and 20 minutes
  • Flight number: S9211
  • Frequency: Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays

The launch fares for these flights start from ₹1199. These flights will be operated by the airline’s ATR 72-500 aircraft featuring 78 economy class seats. Tezu is known for its natural beauty and boasts picturesque valleys, lakes, and wildlife. The new flight service is expected to boost tourism in the region.

Arunachal Pradesh now has a strong air network with earlier Pasighat and now Tezu activating air service. We are grateful to the Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, Shri Pema Khandu for his support and guidance in carrying out the operation successfully.

Additionally, the airline is resuming flights between Shillong and Delhi as per the arrangement with Meghalaya Transport Corporation from 16th August 2021. Bookings are now open for both of these routes. These flights will run with the following schedule:

  • Delhi-Shillong
  • Departure time: 10:20
  • Arrival time: 13:30
  • Flight time: 3 hours and 10 minutes
  • Flight number: S94401
  • Frequency: Mondays and Fridays
  • Shillong-Delhi
  • Departure time: 14:00
  • Arrival time: 17:10
  • Flight time: 3 hours and 10 minutes
  • Flight number: S94402
  • Frequency: Mondays and Fridays

Flybig is also commemorating India’s 75th Independence Day, by offering a special fare of ₹75 to army officers, their immediate family members, and senior citizens, honouring their exemplary service to the nation. The offer is valid on Tezu – Guwahati and Guwahati – Pasighat flights for travel this August. Passengers can make their bookings either on the airline’s website or through online travel agencies and regional travel partners.

Meanwhile, Flybig has started nonstop flights between Agartala and Dibrugarh.
