Frontier Airlines has announced a big South Florida expansion with 16 new routes and a new destination.

As aforementioned, the low cost carrier will relaunch flights to Fort Lauderdale in Florida and launch flights to Aguadilla in Puerto Rico.

We’re excited to announce 18 nonstop routes today and two new destinations; Aguadilla and Fort Lauderdale. Our ‘Low Fares Done Right’ approach to travel isn’t one-size-fits-all, rather Frontier’s unique model is structured to meet the needs of every flyer with affordable fares and customizability. These new flights complement our already expansive network in the Caribbean, Mexico and South Florida, and we look forward to welcoming travelers onboard to these popular vacation destinations this winter, and beyond.
This latest announcement continues Frontier’s aggressive expansion plans. In July 2021, Frontier announced 20 new routes including 5 new destinations. That followed by 15 new routes, including 9 from Miami alone and a new international destination. This was followed by a announcement in September 2022 that the airline will launch 5 new routes from Tampa and 6 new routes to Cancun.
