Emirates to resume flights to Bali, London Stansted, Rio de Janeiro and Buenos Aires

Emirates has announced that it will resume flights to Bali, London Stansted, Rio de Janeiro and Buenos Aires in the coming months for the first time since it suspended flights due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Flight resumptions

Starting 1st May 2022, Emirates will once-again operate flights to Bali, Indonesia. Initially, the flights will operate 5-times-a-week increasing to daily from 1st July 2022. Flights to the popular Indonesian island will be operated by a two-class Boeing B777-300ER.

As of 1st August 2022, Emirates will resume service to London Stansted. The airline will initially fly 5-times-a-week using its B777-300ER aircraft fitted with the ‘Game Changer’ First Class product. From 1st September 2022, the airline will increase its services to offer a daily flight. By October 2022, the airline will be serving the United Kingdom with 110 weekly flights, including: 6 times daily to London Heathrow; double daily A380 service to Gatwick; 3 times daily service to Manchester, including a double daily A380 service (starting 1st October 2022); double daily service to Birmingham; 5-weekly flights to Newcastle (with the fifth weekly flight starting from 1st July 2022); and a daily service to Glasgow.

Starting 2nd November 2022, the Dubai-based airline will operate 4-flights-a-week to Buenos Aires via Rio de Janeiro, on its Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. From 1st February 2023, this will be a daily service.

Increase in flight frequencies

After restoring pre-pandemic flight frequencies to India, Emirates has now announced that it is increasing frequency of flights to more destinations.

As of 1st July 2022, Emirates will operate 11-weekly flights to Lagos, Nigeria. The airline will ramp up its operations to the Nigerian city to offer a double daily service starting from 1st September 2022 – taking the airline’s services to pre-pandemic levels. Emirates will also increase its services to Nigeria’s capital city, Abuja, to offer 5-weekly flights starting 1st May 2022 and then a daily service from 1st September 2022.

Starting 23rd June 2022, Emirates will operate double daily flights to Singapore, increasing from a daily service running currently.

Recently, Emirates announced that it will operate double daily Airbus A380 flights to Mauritius from July 2022 to cater to the rising demand.

Meanwhile, Emirates recently announced that it will add a second daily Airbus A380 service to Melbourne in May 2022.
