Air France to return to Newark after 10 years

Air France has announced that it will launch nonstop flights to Newark.

Starting 12th December 2022, Air France will operate a daily flight between Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport and Newark Liberty International Airport with the following schedule:

  • Paris-Newark
  • Departure time: 12:30
  • Arrival time: 15:00
  • Flight time: 8 hours and 30 minutes
  • Flight number: AF062
  • Frequency: Daily
  • Newark-Paris
  • Departure time: 17:05
  • Arrival time: 06:05 (the next day)
  • Flight time: 7 hours
  • Flight number: AF063
  • Frequency: Daily

These flights will be operated by Boeing B777-200 aircraft featuring 40 Business Class seats, 24 Premium Economy Class seats and 216 standard Economy Class seats.

Newark Liberty International Airport is the second largest international airport to serve the New York metropolitan area and is located approximately 18 miles away from Manhattan.

This daily flight marks the return of Air France to Newark, a historic destination served by the airline with non-stop flights until 2012. It will be in addition to 6-daily flights operated by Air France between Paris and New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport. Air France’s Skyteam alliance partner Delta Airlines also operates flights between Paris and New York JFK.

Air France will compete with United on flights between Paris and Newark.

New York-Newark Liberty will be Air France’s 18thdestination in North America this winter. The other 17 North American destinations of Air France that it will serve this winter are:

In the United States:

  • Atlanta
  • Boston
  • Chicago
  • Dallas
  • Detroit
  • Houston
  • Los Angeles
  • Miami
  • New York-JFK
  • San Francisco
  • Seattle
  • Washington DC

In Canada:

  • Montreal
  • Toronto
  • Vancouver

In Mexico:

  • Cancun
  • Mexico City

Meanwhile, Air France recently announced that it will introduce a new La Première Cabin (First Class Cabin) sometime during 2023/24 winter season.
