JW Marriott Goa Vagator, the city’s first JW Marriott Hotel, is now accepting reservations for stays 16th March 2023 onwards.
Details
JW Marriott Goa Vagator enjoys a prime location by the coast of Vagator. Goa International Airport is 43 kilometres away while it is a 30 kilometres’ drive to New Goa Manohar International Airport.

The resort features 151 guest rooms and suites featuring courtyard, garden and bay views and marble bathrooms. Most of the rooms feature a balcony. The base rooms start at 35 square meters, not the most generous in size but doable. The rooms have elegant décor with luxury bedding and linens.

The Presidential Suite features two bedrooms – one with a king bed and the other having twins bunk. The 87.5-square meter suite features a balcony with surrounding bay views.
JW Kitchen, the brand’s signature restaurant, will be open 24 hours a day. The restaurant will offer Indian and Global cuisine crafted with local and seasonal ingredients. Água Bar & Cafe is a rooftop bar and cafe offering hearty Italian fare and exotic cocktails. Guests will be able to take in dramatic views of the sparkling waters while sipping curated cocktails by the pool paired with homemade Italian dishes and live music at this open to sky dining venue.

Heliconia, open for lunch and dinner, treats guests to a luxurious ambiance and a cocktail bar set amidst lush greens. This restaurant and bar blends the exotic with the authentic, with cocktails made with homemade bitters and progressive Asian fare while Pérola is the lobby bar where one can enjoy a glass of wine, sip on one of the bar’s signature coffees or nibble on a freshly baked baguette. Pérola also offers afternoon tea.
The Spa by JW is a tranquil haven offering Turkish and Moroccan hammam steam baths. The spa features six treatment rooms and two couple suites. Treatments available here include massages, facials, therapy baths and makeup services among others.
Other facilities at the hotel include a JW Fitness which is a fully equipped 24-hour fitness centre along with steam and sauna rooms & an outdoor infinity swimming pool including a children’s pool and a whirlpool. My take on JW Marriott Goa Vagator
Marriott has lately been investing on luxury hotels and resorts in India a lot. In September 2021, Marriott announced that it will open six new luxury hotels, with JW Marriott Goa Vagator being one of them. Also, Marriott recently acquired The Leela Goa Resort and rebranded it as The St. Regis Resort, Goa in October 2022.
JW Marriott Goa Vagator seems a great addition to Marriott’s diverse portfolio in Goa. The location of the hotel also seems very good, given its proximity to the exciting nightlife of North Goa while also having great views of the surroundings.
While images of the property available on the hotel’s website are limited as of now, the property’s design looks excellent from the images available, which are also attached in this article.
The hotel comes with a premium branding of JW Marriott, so it sure won’t be cheap either. The popularity of Goa with both domestic and international tourists also adds to the price tag.
