Cathay Pacific to return to Chennai in 2024

Cathay Pacific has announced that it will return to the Indian metropolis of Chennai in 2024.

As of 1st February 2024, Cathay Pacific, after a absence of over four years, will once again operate three-weekly nonstop service to between Hong Kong and Chennai. The flights will be operated with the following schedule:

  • Hong Kong-Chennai
  • Departure time: 21:50
  • Arrival time: 01:00 (the next day)
  • Flight time: 5 hours and 40 minutes
  • Flight number: CX641
  • Frequency: Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays

  • Chennai-Hong Kong
  • Departure time: 02:20
  • Arrival time: 09:55
  • Flight time: 5 hours and 05 minutes
  • Flight number: CX632
  • Frequency: Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays

These flights will be operated by Cathay Pacific’s 3-class Boeing B777-300ER aircraft featuring 40 lie-flat Business Class seats, 32 Premium Economy seats and 296 standard Economy Class seats.

Moreover, relaunching Cathay Pacific in the city also gives us an opportunity to service our customers and partners, whilst providing them with a comfortable and a premium experience with our world-class products.

Passengers will be able to easily connect via Hong Kong to other cities in the Greater Bay Area, the Chinese Mainland, North America, Northeast Asia, and the Southwest Pacific.
