Delta Airlines has announced that it will once again fly to Taipei after a hiatus of seven years.
Starting 6th June 2024, Delta will operate a daily nonstop service between Seattle-Tacoma International Airport and Taipei Taoyuan International Airport with the following schedule:
- Seattle-Taipei
- Departure time: 11:15
- Arrival time: 15:15 (the next day)
- Flight time: 13 hours
- Flight number: DL69
- Taipei-Seattle
- Departure time: 17:25
- Arrival time: 14:05
- Flight time: 11 hours and 40 minutes
- Flight number: DL68
- Note: This flight launches on 7th June 2024
Delta will operate this service using Airbus A330-900neo aircraft featuring 29 Delta One Suites (Business Class seats) in a 1-2-1 configuration, 28 Delta Premium Select seats (Premium Economy seats) in a 2-3-2 configuration, 56 Delta Comfort+ seats (extra legroom Economy Class seats) and 168 standard Economy Class seats in a 2-4-2 configuration.

Delta will directly compete with EVA Air on Seattle-Taipei route. The latter operates a daily Boeing B787-10 service between the two cities.
Delta last operated flights to Taipei in 2017. The airline used to operate flights from the United States to Taiwan via Narita International Airport.
Delta is marking its 90th anniversary in Seattle this December, a history that dates back to the start of operations by Northwest Airways (later Northwest Airlines) in 1933. Delta flights began on 1st June 1980, with nonstop service between Seattle and Atlanta, Dallas-Fort Worth and Portland. Delta now boasts over 160 daily departures from Seattle to 50 destinations worldwide. Seattle serves as a key gateway for the airlineโs operations across the Pacific, which – with the addition of Taipei – features four non-stop trans-Pacific destinations, including existing routes to Seoul Incheon, Tokyo, and Shanghai.
