As Ayodhya prepares to become the centre of attraction in the next few days, airlines have been quick to add flights to the newly opened Maharishi Valmiki International Airport in Ayodhya. After IndiGo, Air India Express & SpiceJet, Akasa Air has now announced the addition of this scared city to its network as its 18th destination.
Starting 15th February 2024, Akasa Air will operate a daily flight from Pune and Delhi to Ayodhya. The Pune-Ayodhya service will have a stop at Delhi but it will be a through service, meaning passengers travelling on Pune-Ayodhya service and vice-versa won’t need to disembark in Delhi.T
he aircraft will operate Pune-Delhi-Ayodhya-Delhi-Pune routing with the following schedule:
- Pune-Delhi
- Departure time: 08:50
- Arrival time: 10:55
- Flight time: 2 hours and 05 minutes
- Flight number: QP1607
- Delhi-Ayodhya
- Departure time: 11:35
- Arrival time: 12:55
- Flight time: 1 hour and 20 minutes
- Flight number: QP1607
- Ayodhya-Delhi
- Departure time: 13:35
- Arrival time: 15:05
- Flight time: 1 hour and 30 minutes
- Flight number: QP1608
- Delhi-Pune
- Departure time: 15:45
- Arrival time: 17:50
- Flight time: 2 hours and 05 minutes
- Flight number: QP1608
Flights will be operated by the airline’s Boeing B737MAX-8 fleet.

Ayodhya is the carrier’s 18th destination. Akasa now has a fleet of 22 aircraft, with 54 more to come. The airline is expected to place a three-digit aircraft order at Wings India 2024 which is going on at Hyderabad’s Begumpet Airport from 18th to 21st January 2024.
Meanwhile, Akasa recently commenced flights to Port Blair, its 17th destination.
