Japan’s largest airline All Nippon Airways (ANA) has announced network expansion plans with three new destinations in Europe.
Milan, Stockholm and Istanbul
ANA will launch flights from Tokyo Haneda Airport to the following new destinations:
- Milan Malpensa, Italy: 3-weekly flights starting 3rd December 2024
- Stockholm, Sweden: 3-weekly flights starting 31st January 2025
- Istanbul, Turkey: 3-weekly flights starting 12th February 2025

These new routes reflect ANA’s commitment to meet the increasing demand for travel between Japan and each country. “We hope this expansion provides our travelers with greater choice, new customer experiences and reinforces our commitment to a seamless and enjoyable journey. We are proud to have Paris and Munich on a daily flight and resume the Vienna route from August. We look forward to seeing where these new routes will take our travelers as we continue to enhance our management vision ‘Uniting World in Wonder’.

Flights to Milan will be operated by Boeing B787-9 Dreamliner featuring 48 lie-flat Business Class seats, 21 Premium Economy seats and 146 standard Economy Class seats. On the other hand, flights to Stockholm and Istanbul will be operated by B787-8 Dreamliner aircraft featuring 32, 14 and 138 seats in Business, Premium Economy and Economy respectively.
ANA will launch its first scheduled flight to/from Haneda to Milan, marking its seventh destination in Europe. Stockholm will be ANA’s eighth destination in Europe while flights to Istanbul will improve ANA’s presence in the region. The carrier will also resume flights to Vienna, Austria in August 2024.
ANA currently serves London, Paris, Brussels, Frankfurt, Munich and Vienna in Europe.
