Vistara to offer complimentary Wi-Fi to all passengers on B787 and A321-operated international flights

Vistara, which will soon merge with Air India, has announced that it will start offering complimentary Wi-Fi to all passengers on international flights.

Vistara’s Complimentary Wi-Fi

Full service carrier Vistara will offer complimentary Wi-Fi on its international flights operated by Airbus A321neo and Boeing B787-9 Dreamliner aircraft. The airline says that this is a first for Indian aviation.

The airline will offer 20 minutes of complimentary Wi-Fi to all passengers irrespective of their class of flying. Passengers can use Indian Credit and Debit cards or internationally issued Credit cards to purchase paid plans onboard during the 20-minute complimentary session. Passengers will receive One Time Password (OTP) on their registered email ID.

Business Class passengers and Platinum Club Vistara members will continue to have 50 MB complimentary Wi-Fi. Additionally, all Club Vistara members, irrespective of their Club Vistara tier and class of flying, will have access to complimentary Wi-Fi just for only using messaging apps like WhatsApp, iMessage etc.

At Vistara, we continuously strive to enhance our customers’ experience. We are thrilled to be the first Indian airline to provide complimentary Wi-Fi on international flights across all cabins. We believe this will greatly enrich the travel experience, making it more convenient, productive, and seamless.

Deepak Rajawat, Chief Commercial Officer, Vistara said.

Other paid plans include:

  • Chat: INR 372.74 + Goods and Services Tax (GST) – includes access only to messaging apps (i.e. WhatsApp, Facebook, iMessage etc) with unlimited data (this is complimentary for Club Vistara members)
  • Surf: INR 1577.54 + GST – for embedded audio and video streaming (i.e. content on Social Media and Web etc) with unlimited data
  • Stream: INR 2707.04 + GST – access to everything with unlimited data

We can consider this as a farewell gift from Vistara, given the airline is nearing completion of its merger with Air India.

Meanwhile, Vistara recently enhanced its inflight dining menu.
