Qatar Airways increases flights to London, Miami, Male and Tokyo

Qatar Airways is gearing up for the busy winter season, with additional flights to London, Miami, Male and Tokyo.

London, United Kingdom

Starting 27th October 2024, Qatar Airways will operate an additional daily service to London Heathrow (LHR), for a total of 56-weekly services (7 daily services). The airline says that it is increasing frequency โ€œdue to increased demand from customersโ€. The Doha-based carrier will be offering more than 42,000 seats per week each way. Along with the two daily flights operated by its joint business partner, British Airways, there will be 10 daily between Doha (DOH) and London Heathrow (LHR).

The additional daily service will operate with the following schedule:

  • DOH-LHR
  • Departure time: 09:30
  • Arrival time: 14:05
  • Flight time: 7 hours and 35 minutes
  • Flight number: QR109

  • LHR-DOH
  • Departure time: 15:30
  • Arrival time: 01:10 (the next day)
  • Flight time: 6 hours and 40 minutes
  • Flight number: QR110

These flights will be operated by Boeing B777 aircraft.

Male, Maldives

As of 13th December 2024, the Qatari national carrier will operate an additional daily service to Male (MLE), for a total of 28-weekly services (4 daily services), up from 21-weekly services. The additional daily service will operate with the following timings:

  • DOH-MLE
  • Departure time: 01:35
  • Arrival time: 08:15
  • Flight time: 4 hours and 40 minutes
  • Flight number: QR672

  • MLE-DOH
  • Departure time: 19:55
  • Arrival time: 22:50
  • Flight time: 4 hours and 55 minutes
  • Flight number: QR673

These flights will be operated by Airbus A320 aircraft.

Miami, United States

Starting 16th December 2024, Qatar Airways will operate two additional weekly services to Miami (MIA), increasing from 10 to 12 weekly services. The additional flights will operate on Mondays and Wednesdays with the following schedule:

  • DOH-MIA
  • Departure time: 01:20
  • Arrival time: 09:50
  • Flight time: 16 hours and 30 minutes
  • Flight number: QR781
  • Frequency: Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays

  • MIA-DOH
  • Departure time: 23:30
  • Arrival time: 21:05 (the next day)
  • Flight time: 13 hours and 35 minutes
  • Flight number: QR782
  • Frequency: Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays

These additional flights will be operated by Airbus A350 aircraft.

Tokyo Narita, Japan

As of 14th February 2025, the flag carrier of Qatar will operate 11-weekly flights to Tokyo Narita (NRT) instead of the current 7-weekly service. The additional 4-weekly flights will be operated with the following timings:

  • DOH-NRT
  • Departure time: 20:15
  • Arrival time: 11:55 (the next day)
  • Flight time: 9 hours and 40 minutes
  • Flight number: QR808
  • Frequency: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays

  • NRT-DOH
  • Departure time: 16:25
  • Arrival time: 23:10
  • Flight time: 12 hours and 45 minutes
  • Flight number: QR809
  • Frequency: Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays

These flights will be operated by Airbus A350 aircraft.

Meanwhile, Qatar Airways recently announced that it will serve Caviar in Business Class on select routes.
