IndiGo has announced that it is leasing three more Boeing B787 Dreamliners from Norse Atlantic Airways. This comes after it announced its decision to lease one B787 from the Norwegian carrier. The carrier has also announced that it will deploy its first B787 on Delhi-Bangkok flights.
IndiGo getting three additional B787s
IndiGo will damp-lease three more Boeing B787-9 Dreamliners from Norse Atlantic Airways. These aircraft will be arriving in India in the second half of 2025 and will be serving long-haul routes out of India. These additional three damp-leases will bring the total to four leased B787-9s. The airline says that it continues to “explore opportunities to broaden the cooperation and possibility for contracting more aircraft” with Norse Atlantic Airways.

The initial term of the agreement is six months, which is extendable up to 18 months subject to regulatory approvals. The low-cost carrier says that both parties “remain committed to explore opportunities to further extend this period, subject to regulatory approvals”.
