India’s Ministry of Civil Aviation has announced that flights between the two countries will begin from 6th January,2021.

Hardeep Singh Puri, India’s Civil Aviation Minister, announced in a tweet:
Resumption of flights between India & UK:

India to UK from 6 Jan 2021.
UK to India from 8 Jan 2021.
30 flights will operate every week. 15 each by Indian & UK carriers.
This schedule is valid till 23 Jan 2021. Further frequency will be determined after review.
This comes after India extended the suspension of UK flights. Detailed standard operating procedures have been issued by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, Government of India for smooth travel.

As a part of the latest travel protocol, passengers will be tested both before boarding and upon arrival in India.
Indian national carrier, Air India has opened bookings for flights between India and the United Kingdom.

The carrier will operate Mumbai-London Heathrow and Delhi-London Heathrow service on 6th January,2021; London Heathrow-Mumbai and London Heathrow-Delhi service on 7th January,2021 and Mumbai-London Heathrow and London Heathrow-Mumbai service on 8th January,2021.
Air India has also stated that these flights are in addition to the regular flights.
