Qatar Airways has announced plans to increase flights to Seychelles as the islands ‘opens up fully to the world’.
As previously reported by IH Aviation and Travel, from 25th March, travellers will be able to visit the Seychelles, without quarantine or restriction in movement upon arrival, and regardless of vaccination status, providing they take a PCR test 72 hours prior to arrival, and adhere to public health measures including wearing of face masks, social distancing, regular sanitization and washing of hands.
Note that the relaxation of restrictions applies to all visitors except those from South Africa.
As a result, Qatar Airways will be deploying the larger Boeing B787 Dreamliner on Doha-Seychelles-Doha route from 25th March with 3-flights-a-week in order ‘to meet increased demand from visitors to the idyllic resorts’. Earlier, the airline used to operate the route with a Airbus A320.
