WizzAir announces four new routes from Abu Dhabi

WizzAir has announced additional four routes from Abu Dhabi, including three to Greece, taking its route network from the United Arab Emirates’ capital to 29.

These four new routes follow the recent inauguration of Abu Dhabi to Belgrade and just days after Santorini and Chișinău were both announced. The four new routes are:

  • Chania (Crete), Greece : twice-weekly from 9th July to 10th September
  • Mykonos, Greece: twice-weekly from 7th July to 12th September
  • Rhodes, Greece: twice-weekly from 12th July to 10th September
  • Baku, Azerbaijan: twice-weekly from 4th September

All the routes will be operated by 239-seated Airbus A321neo.

  • Abu Dhabi-Chania

All the above mentioned Greek routes are seasonal. The launch of the new Greece routes follows a travel corridor established in May between UAE and Greece as the European country is now open for international travellers. Now, passengers holding vaccination certificates issued by health authorities can travel between the nations without having to quarantine on arrival.

Etihad Airways and flydubai both have taken advantage of this travel corridor by announcing flights to the Greek Islands.

WizzAir now has flights to 29 destinations from Abu Dhabi:
