Accor has announced the opening of ibis Styles Kraków Centrum.
ibis Styles Kraków Centrum hotel is located at a short distance from the city centre, as well as the Railway Station, Tauron Arena and the Botanical Garden of the Jagiellonian University.
Similar to every ibis Styles, new hotel stands out with unique leitmotif visible at every step of guest’s journey. The inspiration for the design of ibis Styles Kraków Centrum Hotel was local history, culture, tradition and art.
According to hotel’s leitmotif, traces of history and culture are sublime incorporated into the décor of the common spaces and guest rooms. Against the entrance to the hotel’s restaurant everyone can find bulletin board and exchange space. It is the place where all the visitors and guess can exchange their books, CDs, vinyls or, for example, plants.
A collage of everyday items from previous eras encourages reflection on the past in a fun and engaging way. On the other hand, quotes from the worldly acclaimed poets associated with Krakow, Wisława Szymborska or Czesław Miłosz, inspire to look at reality from a different perspective. In addition, the signs placed on the floor not only allow every guest to find themselves in the hotel space, but also contain additional information or tips that will brighten up each day. Messages encrypted in the walrus alphabet are hidden almost everywhere in the hotel. The inseparable elements that bind the whole leitmotif together are human traces in the form of handprints, mapping fingerprints on hotel carpets or human writing incorporated in the décor.
Additionally, ibis Styles Kraków Centrum also has traces of modernity in the form of solutions straight from the future, such as a charging station for electric cars. Guests can also use a modern conference space with a boardroom adapted to training and business meetings.

Anna Mida, General Manager, ibis Styles Kraków Centrum, said:
Choosing the design for our hotel we were inspired by the human and cultural traces found in literature, art and local tradition. Throughout many centuries Kraków has grown into the cradle of polish culture, with local history and tradition being seen at every step in the city. With using contemporary, creative design and attention to every detail we wanted to show our appreciation for local heritage, inviting to dive deep into the world of ibis Styles brand. Every guest visiting ibis Styles Kraków Centrum can experience an unforgettable adventure discovering new symbols. We are sure everyone will be happy to return to our hotel, leaving his own traces in the former capital of Poland.
ibis Styles Kraków Centrum features 259 beautifully appointed guest rooms located on 7 floors. Guests visiting the hotel, as well as all residents of Krakow, can relax in a completely new common space, designed with the guidelines of the first CHILL concept in Poland. The style of the restaurant and bar refers to the atmosphere of intimate, vibrant cafes. The idea behind the new concept is to create a multifunctional place that changes during the day, allowing guests to enjoy their morning coffee in a relaxing atmosphere, and in the evening to spend a moment with a glass of craft beer or local wine. The arrangement of the space in an open style emphasizes the sense of community and creates the atmosphere in which everyone can spend time – at work, during meetings, enjoying favourite meal or simply relaxing.
In addition, CHILL # 53 cafe & bar also functions as an artisanal cafe with a rustic and organic character, where everyone can enjoy a great selection of coffee, tea and other beverages. ibis Styles Kraków Centrum cooperates with local partners, offering guests coffee roasted in Kraków, which is the pride of the place. In turn, the restaurant offers a wide menu of local dishes or bagels inspired by Krakow, including pastrami sandwiches, and many snacks.
Sebastian Vetter, Board Member of UBM Development Polska, said:
We are thrilled that once again UBM had the opportunity to create space and join the urban heritage of Kraków. All the projects that we have implemented so far have harmoniously complemented the urban architecture, matching the atmosphere of this beautiful city. New ibis Styles Kraków Centrum hotel allowed us to implement an interesting, modern project, with contemporary design referring to cultural symbols of Kraków. We hope that these references will be discovered not only by hotel guests, but also by the local community, for which it will be a place of frequent meetings.
