Etihad is responding to customer demand for increased frequency to New York and our well-known reputation for high-quality customer experience. Boosting our flights to New York gives our guests even greater options across key business and leisure destinations in our expanding global network. Our guests travelling to the US can use our US pre-clearance facility, the only United States Customs and Border Protection facility in the Middle East. This allows passengers bound for the United States to process all immigration, customs and agriculture inspections in Abu Dhabi before they board, avoiding immigration queues on arrival in the US.

Etihad will eventually operate a total of 28-weekly flights to the United States – double-daily flights to New York JFK and a daily flight to Chicago and Washington DC.
Passengers can connect to 47 destinations throughout the Americas beyond New York onboard JetBlue, Etihad’s codeshare partner.
Passengers will be able to make use of US Preclearance facility at Abu Dhabi International Airport, making it easier to go through the arrival process in the States.
With this, Etihad will match rivals – Emirates and Qatar Airways – in operating double daily flights to New York JFK, giving some tough competition to both its rivals.
Meanwhile, Etihad Airways recently became the first airline to implement contrail prevention on a Transatlantic flight.
