Indian hospitality group ITC Hotels has announced the opening of WelcomHotel by ITC Hotels Belagavi in Karnataka. This is the 25th property under the WelcomHotel brand.
Location and Design
Nestled in the serene locale of Kakati, Welcomhotel Belagavi offers views of the surrounding hills and lush greenery. Spread over an area of five acres, the property is a 30-minute drive away from Belagavi Airport. Local sights like Fort Lake, Belagavi Fort, Sharqat Park and Rajhansgad Fort are within easy reach.
The architecture and interiors of the property reflect the native beauty and vibrant lifestyle of Belagavi, skilfully blending classic and contemporary design elements.

Emphasizing geometric shapes and large windows, the hotel’s design adheres to principles of symmetry, calmness, and proportion, allowing natural light to flood the spaces. The interiors celebrate Belagavi’s monsoon rains, with art pieces depicting Karnataka’s forts in the rain, a water droplet sculpture, and a chandelier of cascading crystals.
Welcomhotel Belagavi, our 25th property, embodies our endeavour to create unparalleled hospitality experiences, ensuring that guests enjoy a stay that is both luxurious and in harmony with the environment. We look forward to continuing this journey of growth and excellence.
Anil Chadha, Chief Executive Officer, ITC Hotels said.
Accommodations and Dining
The hotel features 116 beautifully designed guest rooms and suites, each with step-out balconies offering serene views of the surrounding landscape.

The hotel’s dining options include WelcomCafe, an all-day dining restaurant serving global and Indian regional cuisine; Dough & Co., a deli offering freshly baked treats and an assortment of beverages; and Swizzle Bar, where guests can enjoy classic and signature cocktails paired with finger food. The WelcomSthalika menu features curated local dishes from North Karnataka, highlighting the region’s culinary heritage.

Facilities
Facilities at the hotel include an outdoor infinity swimming pool, a fitness centre and the signature K by Kaya Kalp Spa.

The hotel also has nine events spaces, including two grand ballrooms, a conference room, an open sky deck, and three green lawns.
As aforementioned, WelcomHotel Belagavi is the brand’s 25th property. The brand opened seven managed hotels and three owned assets with a total of 916 rooms over the last five financial years. In the last financial year, four new management deals with 406 keys were signed for the Welcomhotel brand. These hotels are set to open over the next four to five years.
The expansion of the Welcomhotel brand is a significant achievement for ITC Hotels. Welcomhotel is the new age traveller’s key to curated immersive experiences. Present in locations ranging from hills to beaches, and deserts to cities, the opening and signing of more properties under the brand Welcomhotel is aligned with ITC Hotels’ asset right growth strategy to take our brand and services to tier-2 markets in addition to prime metro cities.
Anil Chadha added.
WelcomHotel brand is currently present in 24 cities, namely New Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, Pahalgam, Mussoorie, Bhubaneswar, Jodhpur, Khimsar, Amritsar, Katra, Chandigarh, Shimla, Chail, Manali, Jim Corbett, Vadodara, Visakhapatnam, Port Blair, Guntur, Coimbatore, Mahabalipuram, Aurangabad, Ahmedabad and Belagavi.
