Ethiopian Airlines adds Hyderabad to its network

Ethiopian Airlines will launch flights to Hyderabad in India in June 2025. Hyderabad, often referred to as the โ€œCity of Pearlsโ€, marks the fifth destination in India for the airline after Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Chennai.

Ethiopian Airlines to Hyderabad

Starting 16th June 2025, Ethiopian Airlines will operate 3-flights-a-week between Addis Ababa (ADD) and Hyderabad (HYD) with the following schedule:

  • Addis Ababa-Hyderabad
  • Departure time: 16:10
  • Arrival time: 00:40 (the next day)
  • Flight time: 6 hours
  • Flight number: ET682
  • Frequency: Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays

  • Hyderabad-Addis Ababa
  • Departure time: 01:55
  • Arrival time: 05:55
  • Flight time: 6 hours and 30 minutes
  • Flight number: ET683
  • Frequency: Tuesdays, Thursdays ans Saturdays

These flights will be operated by the carrierโ€™s Boeing B737MAX-8 aircraft featuring 16 Business Class and 144 standard Economy Class seats.

Hyderabad has grown into a significant economic and technological hub. This route marks the first nonstop route between Hyderabad and Africa. In July 2024, Ethiopian Airlines secured approval from Indiaโ€™s Ministry of Civil Aviation to increase weekly flight rights from 35 to 38, paving the way for the launch of this new route.

Ethiopian currently operates twice-daily flights to both Delhi and Mumbai in addition to 3- and 4-flights-a-week to Bengaluru and Chennai respectively.
