American hospitality brand Marriott International has announced a major expansion in South Asia – comprising India, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Maldives and Nepal – with 22 new signings in the past 18 months, including 13 in India.

SriLankan Airlines has announced that it has resumed regular scheduled flights from India. The announcement comes after Sri Lanka reopened to fully vaccinated travellers from India.
Sri Lanka is now once again welcoming fully vaccinated travellers from India.
Following the UAE government’s announcement of relaxation in entry requirements for travellers from India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Nigeria and Uganda, Etihad Airways has announced that it has opened bookings for flights from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
UAE’s National Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) and General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) have announced that they have relaxed entry restrictions for travellers from India, allowing some categories of passengers from countries where inbound flights to the Emirates have been banned to enter.
Air France is continuing to increase services to leisure destinations. For the 2021 winter season (October 2021- March 2022), the airline will be flying to 3 new destinations in addition to increasing services to already served cities. All these flights will be served from Paris Charles de Gaulle airport.
Sri Lanka will resume international flights from 26th December,2020.
