Intercontinental Hotels Group (IHG) has announced that it will debut its leading brand Holiday Inn in Bhutan. The hotel marks IHG’s second brand in the country, complementing the existing Six Senses Bhutan.

American hospitality brand Marriott International has announced a major expansion in South Asia – comprising India, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Maldives and Nepal – with 22 new signings in the past 18 months, including 13 in India.
Maldives has announced a temporary suspension of tourist visas for travellers coming from South Asian countries including India. This decision will come into effect from 13th May 2021.
India’s Civil Aviation Ministry has decided to further extend the ban on scheduled international flights until 31st January,2021.
