American carrier Alaska Airlines has announced 3 new routes from Anchorage.

Though Alaska Airlines’s main hub is Seattle, the airline is adding new flights out of the largest city of its namesake state.
Here are the details of the news routes:
- San Francisco, California – daily service from 17th June,2021 to 16th August,2021
- Las Vegas, Nevada – four-times-a-week year round service from 20th May,2021
- Denver, Colorado – daily service from 17th June,2021 to 16th August,2021
- Phoenix, Arizona – turns from seasonal to daily year round service
“The demand for leisure travel in 2021 is beginning to return as our guests look ahead, and we’re offering even more nonstops to take Alaskans to the places they want to go. We believe our guests will love the convenient nonstops to Vegas, Denver and San Francisco, in addition to our daily nonstop flight to Phoenix that’s now set to fly year-round.”, said Marilyn Romano, Regional Vice President, Alaska Airlines in a press release.
These new routes will take Alaska Airlines’ number of destinations served from Anchorage to 8. Other destinations from Anchorage include Chicago, Portland, Seattle and Los Angeles.
Alaska Airlines will be flying Boeing B737 on all of these routes. On most of these routes, the American carrier will fly B737-900 which features 178 seats including 16 seats in First Class, 24 extra legroom seats and 138 in regular Economy class.
On other flights, the airline will use B737-800 which has 12 First Class seats, 30 extra legroom seats and 117 in Economy class.
