All of these flights will be operated by Etihad’s B787 Dreamliner aircraft. The airline states that the three daily flights to London Heathrow have been scheduled to provide travellers with a choice of ‘conveniently timed departures and arrivals’.
Unvaccinated passengers travelling from the UAE will be required to have a negative RT-PCR test taken 72 hours before departure and to undergo 10 days home quarantine, as well as follow up COVID-19 tests on day two and day eight. Fully vaccinated passengers who had their vaccine administered in the UK, US or Europe are exempt from quarantine and the day eight test, although they will have to take a test on day two.
Meanwhile, Etihad Airways recently launched twice-weekly flights to Vienna. The airline has also entered a strategic cooperation with EL AL. The Abu Dhabi-based carrier has expanded the trials of IATA Travel Pass by rolling it out to seven more cities following successful trials in the 1st phase. Etihad Airways yesterday announced that it has started taking bookings for flights from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka following the UAE government’s announced of easing of entry requirements for travellers from the above mentioned countries.
