Udaipur is one of the hottest hospitality markets in India right now, with many luxury hotels scheduled to open in the next two years. Let’s take a look at all the luxury hotels slated to open in the City of Lakes.
Hotels in Udaipur
Radisson Hotel Group – one of the largest international hotel groups in India with over 100 operating hotels – currently has three hotels in Udaipur namely Radisson Blu Palace Resort & Spa, Udaipur; Radisson Udaipur & Parallel Hotel Udaipur, a member of Radisson Individuals. The hotel group recently signed three new hotels in and around Udaipur. The group will debut its Radisson Collection brand in the city soon while it has also signed India’s first cricket stadium hotel in Nathdwara, about 50 kilometers from Udaipur.
The Udaipur market is experiencing strong growth, supported by expansion across all hospitality segments, including luxury, mid-market, and economy.
Nikhil Sharma, Managing Director and Area Senior Vice President – South Asia at Radisson Hotel Group said.
French hospitality group Accor is slated to debut its Fairmont brand in Udaipur later this year with 340 guest rooms and suites, making it the largest palace hotel in Rajasthan. Accor already has a Raffles in Udaipur on its own private island in the middle of Udai Sagar Lake.

More hotels in the pipeline
Wyndham Hotel Group, the parent company of Ramada Hotels, recently signed Wyndham Grand Udaipur Fateh Sagar Lake featuring 140 guest rooms, suites and villas. It is scheduled to open in 2025.
Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) is slated to open a SeleQtions hotel in Udaipur next year. It recently announced the debut of its Ginger Hotels brand in the city.

Economic Times reports about 1,634 rooms have been signed in the past two years, out of which 500 are in the luxury segment alone.
Udaipur has the highest average room rates in the country around the year. Home to the world’s best resorts such as Taj Lake Palace, The Oberoi Udaivilas, The Leela and Raffles, Udaipur has given great yields to investors.
Jaideep Dang, Managing Director – Hotels and Hospitality Group – India, at JLL said.
American hospitality group Marriott will soon open JW Marriott Udaipur Palace (situated near Taj Aravali Resort and Spa) while Hyatt is slated to open Hyatt Regency Udaipur Sisarma in the third quarter of 2025 and Hyatt Place Udaipur Eklingji sometime after that.
Deepak Jain, founder of MayFair Consultants, said the firm has signed a mandate for a luxury hotel and a midscale hotel in Udaipur, both of which will be managed by international brands.
InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) signed Holiday Inn Udaipur Urban Square in 2018 which was scheduled to be operational by 2022 but there’s been no update since.
